A type of cost-effective hybrid GFRP/ Concrete deck system was proposed in this paper. Fatigue test on a fullscale specimen was conducted, and a series of static tests were also carried out after typical loading cycles. During fatigue test, the failure modes, deflections, strains of concrete and GFRP plate, cracks were measured to investigate long-term performance. The fatigue test results indicate that such hybrid deck has a good fatigue performance even after 3.1 million repeated cycles. Besides, a three dimensional finite element model was established to evaluate its fatigue behavior. The results from finite element analysis were consistent with those from tests in terms of strength and stiffness, and the fatigue failure cycle was calculated based on related S-N curve.
