Collecting statistics at the Australian Open tennis championship

This paper discusses methods used to collect statistical data at the Australian Tennis Open. The process of data entry, and the uses of the statistics are discussed, along with methods used to ensure consistency. Areas where the statistics may be misinter-preted are highlighted, and suggestions for improving the process are made.
