EXPORT: search for transits in open clusters with the Jakobus Kapteyn and the Lick 1 m Telescopes

We discuss the rationale for this program, describe the observations carried out with the 1 m JKT (La Palma) and Nickel Telescope (Lick Observatory), and give a status report on the data reduction.
