This paper links Hofstede's work with more recent research comparing the Australian business culture with that of the United States to see if Australia is another Anglo-American culture or does it have its own unique cultural stereotype. Findings include support for Hofstede’s dimensions, except Power Distance and Individualism. There are also some dichotomies between Hofstede’s dimension connotations for the Australian business culture too. There is a need to scientifically measure the Australian Business Culture against other cultures to develop a more complete Australian stereotype.
