Multi-layered optical data storage in a polymer-dispersed liquid crystal material under two-photon excitation
conference contribution
posted on 2024-07-12, 22:20 authored by Min Gu, D. K. McPhail, Andrew J. SmallridgeWe present the results of using polymer-dispersed liquid crystal for three-dimensional bit optical data storage based on its two-photon induced polarisation sensitivity. A bit density of 23.5 Gbits/cm/sup 3/ and complete erasure of the data via ultra-violet illumination were achieved.
