This exploratory research examines the presentations by Australian scholars of papers at the 2001 and 2002 Babson-Kauffman Entrepreneurship Research Conferences and the publications by Australian scholars during 2001 and 2002 in the Journal of Business Venturing and Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice. The purpose of this was to provide insights into contemporary Australian entrepreneurship research. It is argued that there is a need for greater communication and collaboration among Australian entrepreneurship scholars to facilitate greater quality research output. The establishment of an Australian Entrepreneurship Research Network/Forum is mooted as one way of achieving this.
