In 2015, I commissioned a social survey organisation to conduct telephone interviews with people living in East Gippsland in eastern Victoria. The survey examined attitudes towards reconciliation. It expored several critical issues concerning reconciliation, including socio-economic disadvantage, government programs, Indigenous rights and addressing the past. In this article, I analyse the findings of this survey. These findings from this 2015 survey are also contrasted to two previous surveys I commissioned in 2010 and 2005, that also examined attitudes to reconciliation in East Gippsland.
