Editorial: will thermal spray ever be the basis for a Nobel Prize?
The article explores whether or not thermal spray and the researchers who work in the industry will ever win a Nobel Prize. The benefits of winning what is described as the pinnacle of a research scientist's career are given. Other topics include job shops that are spraying tool steel to rehab worn shafts and process zones which enable the creation of new materials.
