The erosion of metals by impinging liquid jets is a serious problem in hydraulic machines, namely pumps and turbines. In this paper, the geometry of debris formed during the erosion of low-carbon steel by impinging-water jets is investigated. The study may be considered in conjunction with a previous investigation, where an analysis of debris formed during solid particle impingement was performed
