Sexy men in wigs: North Square and the representation of law on British television

The article studies how television legal dramas in Great Britain represent the English legal system and what intellectual work they may be performing with respect to this system using 'North Square' as a case study. It looks at the generic characteristics of U.S. legal dramas and examines the ways in which this legal drama represents the English legal system. It then tackles the norms and conventions of British legal dramas and the factors of ritual in 'North Square'.
