The role of home and place in social inclusion: expanding the agenda

An opinion is presented that the social inclusion agenda should be expanded to tackle the cumulative problems in housing processes which lead to homelessness of individuals and families. It is suggested that the issues of failure in access to housing and housing insecurities due to escalating rentals in the private housing market should be addressed, considering that a sense of security, home and place is the basis of social inclusion.
