If the arbitrariness that is lying in wait for so much human experience is at the heart of Look Both Ways (Sarah Watt, 2005) (and it is interesting to compare Woody Allen's new film, Match Point, in this matter), there is nothing schematic or purely coincidental about the way its narrative is developed.
