'The New Design Nexus'

If you're having trouble keeping up with the latest technology, well, you're not alone. In fact, you're probably part of the world's fastest growing demographic, the older IT user. You might even qualify as a new wave 'Silver Surfer'! The boom in ICT, Information and Communication Technology, and the growing number of older people using it, are two of the three biggest influences on design for the future, with the third being sustainability as a global concern. A new book that looks at how design is being shaped by these issues is being launched this Friday as part of the State of Design event currently on in Melbourne.
