The World Chinese Economic Forum was held on the 2nd and 3rd November 2010 at the Palace of Golden Horses, Mines Resort, in the State of Selangor, Malaysia. The theme of this year's forum is 'Building Business Linkages in a Globalised World'. Various sessions were held with this theme in mind, focusing on certain aspects of the partnership between China and ASEAN countries. This forum acknowledged this long standing relationship, citing historical links as well as recent achievements by both partners. The newly executed China-ASEAN Free Trade Area (CAFTA) was given special attention and there was a lot of talk about the impact of this agreement on the Southeast Asian Region as well as challenges that they are facing.
