A review of the clonal selection theory of acquired immunity

The clonal selection theory proposed by Nobel Prize winning immunologist Frank Macfarlane Burnet is a deceptively simple algorithmic process that describes the diversity of antibodies and is the foundation for the understanding of the acquired immune system of vertebrates. This paper provides a summary overview of the theory including its inception, main processes and some interesting theoretical aspects.
