Foyers are considered a suitable model for supporting young homeless or at risk of homeless. Education, training and employment are in the foreground of the arrangement which provides transitional housing for young people aged between 16 and 24. Youth foyers are a relatively new development in Australia. Despite this, the development of a sustainable funding model is an important issue given the number of foyer being planned and developed. This study attempted to investigate the long term financial suitability of foyers.
