The aim of the VCIP was to establish an agreed framework and sustainable process for the development and use of community wellbeing indicators at the local government level across Victoria. The VCIP, which was funded by VicHealth with support from the Department of Human Services, was implemented from January 2005 to July 2006. This report has been prepared by the VCIP team to provide an overview of the VCIP methodology and outcomes. We also hope it can be a useful resource for the increasingly broad range of individuals and organisations using community wellbeing indicators to improve local community engagement and community planning.
