The natural progression from a clonal selection algorithm, is to employ that algorithm in a loose architectural model of the acquired immune system. A series of multiple discrete repertoire models were previously proposed to do just that. These models are briefly reviewed in this work, and laborated to a multiple repertoire system. This system is defined in the context of a series of principle effects, design principles and behavioural expectations. It is demonstrated that the path to realizing this broader system is to employ a bottom-up approach using a number of low-level algorithms. This work completes with a summary of a number of experimental investigations and studies that provide a framework for further extensions of this work.
