Earthquake is one of the most disastrous events that can happen to a community because of its unpredictability and massive release of energy. This study proposes an adaptive agent-based data-driven framework for earthquake preparedness. The framework consists of three components: cognitive agent model, evacuation simulation, and decision support. It was designed so that each component can be adjusted and expanded to make it adaptable to different target populations and study sites. The framework demonstrates the potential of integrating the three optimisation methods, architectural, path and scheduling, and behavioural, to further improve earthquake evacuation planning.
