Digital twins are gaining significant attention in several areas, including healthcare. The use of digital twins in healthcare has the potential to provide enhanced clinical decision support and enable more patient-centric and simultaneously more precise and individualised care to ensue. While the use of digital twins has matured in areas such as manufacturing, in healthcare it is still emerging. This thesis explores the concept of digital twins in healthcare, specifically around diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment selection for cancer care.
