An integrated approach to exploring the employability of Chinese returned graduates in China's labour market

thesis
posted on 2024-07-26, 03:58 authored by Jin Huang
This study adopts the graduate capital model and simultaneously investigating how such personal factors are influenced by contextual factors. Personal factors and contextual factors are explored through the reported perceptions of both Chinese employers and returned graduates as the two groups of key stakeholders. This research advances the theoretical development of graduate employability in the cross-country context by integrating the concept of perceived employability, the graduate capital model, and signalling theory, which leads to a more comprehensive explanation of the employability of returned graduates. It provides implications for future international graduate studies, talent management and cross-cultural human resource management.
