The present thesis provides empirical evidence of a significant correlation between EI and SLDs which includes dyslexia, dyscalculia, dyspraxia and ADD. This supports the growing recognition that emotions significantly impact on the way a person performs, interacts and learns. The findings in the two studies contribute to the growing interest of professionals in the field of education and mental health to help find preventions and treatments for SLDs.
