Assessing and Developing Approaches for Improved Practical Question Answering System for Healthcare

In recent years, there has been considerable advancement in Deep Learning research which has led to impressive results in many Natural Language Processing tasks including question answering. Complex domains such as healthcare are challenging due to several reasons, one of which is the lengthy context and answer that the machine needs to process. In this work, I developed techniques that allow question answering systems to perform more efficiently and effectively in such scenarios. This research contributes to the effort of building practical systems that assist humans in information retrieval services.
