Automated support for performance and energy evaluation for cloud applications

Feifei Chen’s thesis, titled “Automated Support for Performance and Energy Evaluation For Cloud Applications”, investigated the energy consumption of applications deployed in cloud environments. The research produced a set of novel techniques that can be applied to automatically determine energy-efficient cloud application deployment strategies. The outcomes significantly reduce the time and efforts that software engineers spend on the deployment, load testing and performance testing of cloud applications.
