Australians are consuming fashion products at a fast rate resulting in increased waste being disposed of in landfills, negatively impacting the environment. We explored two solutions for the waste issue: recycling and reusing end-of-life garments. We proposed that achieving circularity requires a collaborative effort among all fashion supply chain agents. Recommendations are made to educate, raise awareness, and establish engagement activities on recycling and reusing end-of-life garments amongst consumers. Lessons can be learned from European countries that are leaders in sustainable fashion disposal. The Government should drive the shift towards circularity by providing initiatives such as funding and policy changes.
