The thesis investigates the relationship between corporate social responsibility (CSR) performance, CSR motivations, the presence and effectiveness of a CSR committee, and female CSR committee interlocking memberships and stock liquidity. Using a sample of listed companies included in the S&P ASX 300 over the period 2009-2018, a positive association is found between each of CSR performance, strategic CSR motivation, the presence and effectiveness of CSR committees, gender diversity and interlocking among CSR committee members and stock liquidity. These findings provide valuable new insights into CSR motivation and the role and value of CSR committees, female CSR committee memberships and interlocks in improving stock liquidity.
