Vietnamese Small and Medium Sized Enterprises (SMEs) are considered the ‘backbone’ of the economy; their development is a key driver of sustainable economic development. However, they are small, limited capital, passive application of technology, poor management skills. The intent of my research is to raise awareness regarding the difficulties SMEs. The findings expected to contribute ideas to owner – managers of SMEs, policymakers, training organisations and other national organisations in implementing policies to minimise the obstacles of SMEs for sustainable development of Vietnam economy. It is with pride that I accept this award for myself my family and my country.
