The research study is focused on developing seasonal streamflow forecast models using lagged climate indices as potential predictors. New South Wales (NSW) situated in south-eastern part of Australia is chosen as the case study area. The outcome of the research is helpful to the water stakeholders as it enables them to take low-risk decisions at earlier stage of the crop period to avoid the adverse impacts of extreme climatic events like droughts or floods.
