Cost-effective Resource Management in Mobile Edge Computing

To facilitate the fifth-generation mobile communication networks, the communication and computation resources have been pushed to the edge servers from the cloud servers. However, edge servers are usually deployed around the world. Properly managing the resources could help the infrastructure providers to reduce their costs, and benefit the users to reduce their latency. To overcome this difficulty, this thesis aims to manage the resources in a cost-effective way.
