Precision farming today has seen wide adoption and has been developed to perform a wide range of applications including monitoring, irrigation, weeding and harvesting of crops. However, it is difficult to implement these systems on a large scale as the infrastructure and cost needed would scale along with it. This project will investigate this problem and attempt to formulate a solution by proposing and develop a mobile robot to be used on existing farms without the need for additional infrastructure and can serve as a platform for different functions from gathering sensor data to interacting with the plants directly.
