Patients with mandibular defects need implants that are aesthetically pleasing and functional. Traditional methods of reconstructive surgeries do not provide satisfactory results. The aim of this PhD project was to find optimal solution for both design and fabrication processes of mandibular implants. An accurate and cost-effective mandible implant was designed by developing measurement system which helped determine the medium plane of mandible with the aim of increasing accuracy. The implant was additionally improved by integrating dental implants into the mandibular implant with the aim of surgery time reduction. A platform to evaluate implant's accuracy was developed and Finite Element Analysis was performed on the surgical guide.
