A consistent trend can be seen in attempts to bring communication technologies not just to urban communities, but to rural regions as well. Systems such as Television White Space come up in these attempts as a valid option due to its ability to operate for long distances and transmit well through obstacles. A microstrip antenna is fabricated for this research to operate in the Television White Space frequency range and its effectiveness is analyzed. Its feasibility is compared with similar microstrip antennas and with the commercially used log-periodic antenna variety, using the Free Space Path Loss formula and Hata model.
