The aim of this research is to look into how to design proactive public services. It is a relevant topic in the development of governance practices globally as countries are continuously working towards providing more efficient and user-friendly public services. The notion of proactive services refers to services that are provided by the government or organisation on their own initiative in order to make citizen’s or user’s day-to-day life more seamless. Proactive services could be seen as a next step in government service provision, and thus, raise interest in a growing number of stakeholders, both governmental and individual.
