Detailed Cost-performance Analysis of Wi-Fi Technology for Rural Internet Accessibility Solution

This study generated two models which are outdoor router cost estimation model and outdoor Wi-Fi average data speed model. The outdoor router cost estimation model was developed by using own data analysis methods which named Extended Parametric Model based on original Parametric Model. All the parameters were filtered by using P-value regression analysis. The outdoor Wi-Fi average data speed model was developed by collecting experimental data. The model was also validated and improved by using real-world obstacles. By using both models, Internet Service Providers will be encouraged to participate more and select suitable equipment in rural connectivity development.
