Development and Validation of Smart Horseshoes for Gait Analysis of Sound and Lame Horses

This research is focused on methods of horseshoes preparation and their impact on the horses' walking, trotting and ultimately running performance analysis. The outcome from this study can be the pillar to future research on lameness diagnosis, racehorse training and farriery methods. By the same token, a smart horseshoe or insole is introduced which is capable of pressure or force distribution monitoring.
