This research was done to improve the interfacial adhesion between Acacia wood with polymer by performing physical, chemical and thermal modification on the fibres. These modifications altered the fibre structure by creating more grips and pores on the fibre for better interlocking with the polymer. Most of the previous studies have been carried out using non-degradable and non-environmental friendly polymer, however, this research focused on using degradable and environmental friendly polymer for the manufacturing of the Acacia wood reinforced polymer blend bio-composites. The Acacia wood fibre based products have many potential applications for housing, packaging, furniture, and transportation.
