Strengthening with fibre-reinforced polymer (FRP) composites is one of the main methods of retrofitting of existing reinforced concrete members suffering from reinforcement corrosion, degradation and damage resulting from aging. However, Strengthening with FRP materials has its own disadvantages as FRP sheets tend to debond from the concrete due to the weak tensile strength of the concrete. This research comes to find efficient methods of anchorage systems than can keep the FRP attached to the concrete even at high levels of strain resulting in preventing or delaying the debonding of the FRP sheet from the concrete.
