Integration of lean and green paradigms at the early stage of design can leverage many benefits in the construction industry such as reducing wastes, enhancing resource efficiency, improving whole life performance and increasing satisfaction of stakeholders including end users. This research aims at improving design management practices in construction projects. The practical implication of this research includes: (1) creating efficient design process through integrated target design stages, (2) managing buildings performances for different design options against measurable cost, environmental and energy targets during the design stages; (3) reducing life cycle impacts through setting key performance indicators at the design stage.
