Today’s enterprise software systems are connected with several heterogeneous software components and services to serve growing business requirements. The testing of such an enterprise system is a challenging task as the access to the dependent components/services is not always possible due to security, cost or unavailability. The existing service virtualization techniques only consider stateless services and the simulation of the stateful services is still unexplored. A novel technique to derive service models for stateful service has been proposed in this thesis, which enables testing of an enterprise system without requiring access to the dependent services.
