Evaluation of proactive environmental practices of small and medium enterprises in Malaysian electronics industry

One of the major concerns of the business sector today is how to enhance the implementation of sustainable environmental practices among Small and Medium Enterprise (SMEs). Raja Zuraidah studied the relationships between stakeholders and the environmental practices of SMEs. Her research uses structural equation modelling to explain collaborative relationships between the SMEs and stakeholders through which the SMEs' progress towards proactive environmental practices. Three types of environmental practices are considered, namely: internal environmental management; product-based activities; and process-based activities. This has given researcher a better understanding of an important of collaborative mechanism as a driver for SMEs to enhance their sustainable environmental practices.
