Although mental illness is considerably more prevalent in prisoner populations as compared with general community samples, few mental health services are available in prisons. The Mobile Forensic Mental Health Service is a novel service providing psychiatric and psychological assessment, intervention, and clinical management to prisoners as they transition through the various custodial environments within Victoria, Australia. There is a strong focus on clients experiencing depression, anxiety, and PTSD. This thesis comprises two studies, an evaluation of the group treatment program, and a data linkage study that further explores the efficacy of group and individual psychological treatments.
