Aggressive intrusive thoughts and aggressive scripts are two cognitive phenomena that include experiencing thoughts about harming another person, however they have distinct behavioural outcomes depending on the demographic population they are investigated in. This thesis identified several features pertinent to aggressive intrusive thoughts and aggressive scripts that may be used as avenues for differentiation, to improve the early detection of these thoughts, and to assist with violence risk assessment and treatment for those who report them.
