The project explores the knowledge, attitude and practices of healthcare professionals about spinal cord injury in Pakistan. This project would enable the healthcare professionals to understand the issues in accessing appropriate healthcare for this group, the gaps in the awareness and practices have also been addressed. Once this is ascertained the findings can be shared with healthcare professionals to enable them to outline strategies to improve the gaps through targeted interventions. This will also empower healthcare professionals with the necessary skills and knowledge required for optimal spinal cord injury management. At the government level, this could be in the form of policies for interventions at healthcare facility level. Additionally the research can contribute to the ongoing dialogue surrounding contemporary health practices in the context of spinal cord injury, fostering more compassionate and effective healthcare for affected individuals. Furthermore the research benefits healthcare professionals, towards people living with spinal cord injury, carers, policy makers of government and non-government organizations, people living with spinal cord injury and carers.
