Green Human Resource Management and Unethical Pro-organisational Behaviour in the Ready-made Garment Industry of Bangladesh
Unethical pro-organisational behaviour is a very unusual type of behaviour due to its paradoxical nature (i.e., “doing bad things for good reasons”). Unethical pro-organisational behaviour can be defined as behaviours or actions purposefully undertaken to promote the successful functioning of the organisation or its associates (for example, leaders) and breach core societal values, laws, mores, or standard norms of conduct. This research aimed to conduct quantitative empirical research on Leadership in Environmental and Energy in Design (LEED) certified green garment factories in Bangladesh to determine whether the employees are involved in compliance breaches to benefit the organisation or undertake unethical pro-organisational behaviour. The research study tried to propose necessary strategies to ensure the proper implementation of sustainable practices and prevent probable mock compliance (i.e., unethical pro-organisational behaviour) from a practical implication point of view.
