This PhD research examined the critical success factors of start-ups transitioning from their initial formation to a more mature, post-start-up stage. The study identified factors that significantly influenced the success or failure of start-ups during this transition. The research findings provide a roadmap for start-ups seeking to enhance their likely success and survival, along with providing deep insights for supporting actors such as policymakers. The research fills a significant gap in the existing literature, primarily focusing on start-up networking and human, financial, and knowledge resources. Overall, the study provides deep insights into the factors that influence the success or failure of start-ups during the post-start-up transition period.
