The research introduces the 'i-City Film' as a new sub-genre in Chinese cinema, leveraging smartphone technology to reimagine city film narratives for the digital age. This work not only contribute to the field of mobile cinema but also offers insights into the evolving landscape of digital storytelling, underscoring the potential of short-form video platforms in cinematic expression.
