This study categorizes some of Australian barley genotypes based on their salt stress tolerance. Then, the changes in the concentration of some biomolecules (including abscisic acid, vitamin E isomers, phenolics and glycine betaine) are studied in the leaves and seeds of barley genotypes. These biomolecules are involved in plants stress tolerance and also known for their positive health effects for human. According to the current study barley synthesizes some of these biomolecules to adapt better with stress conditions and increase its antioxidant capacity which varies in barley genotypes.
