This study aims at answering this question: how does the use of business analytics impact organisations? The findings may guide organisations that are eager to adopt and use business analytics to identify the factors that will be affected by using business analytics and provide an overview of expectations, benefits, and challenges of using business analytics. In addition, this study extended and enriched Information Processing Theory by including categories directly related to business analytics use. To validate the proposed framework, this study examines the perspectives of both technical and business users of business analytics in four large organisations from different industry sectors.
