This quantitative study investigates how governments address information governance and information management in two different contexts of Gov 2.0 in Australia and Vietnam. To do this, this study develops a unified theoretical framework for information governance and management focusing key components in regards to people, technology, policies, and processes and practices. This study also indicates how the country context and employees‟ characteristics affect their perceptions and current experiences in information governance and management in the process of Gov 2.0 adoption. Furthermore, respective responsibilities for two these areas have been identified and addressed in this study.
