In this thesis, a comprehensive literature review is provided for natural fiber reinforced polymer composites and a multi-fold of information on standard fabrication and testing methodologies have been outlined as separate chapters. This research was conducted based on a clear literature gap in terms of both materials and methodology to assess interface, dielectric, thermal, molecular properties of flax reinforced polypropylene/strontium titanate composite. Interfacial polarization or Maxwell-Wagner-Sillars effect using a dielectric study with the addition of strontium titanate and flax fiber reinforcement on a polypropylene matrix were investigated. Also, this study demonstrates the characterization of flax fiber reinforced polypropylene-strontium titanate composite and dielectric study for low-k dielectric applications.
